I was rather dismayed to read that the Prime Minister could be turning up to a Royal Wedding in work clothes. Someone ought to remind him that he is a Prime Minister and as Prime Minister he should dress like a Prime Minister to a Royal Wedding and not like someone who has just walked off the street en route to the funeral of a distant relative. All the foreign dignitaries will be in morning dress or their formal national dress and it would be contemptuous of him to wear a lounge suit in order to prove some pointless point of which the British public will care little about and that such actions will not make the slightest change of opinion whatsoever in regards to his background and past. It would show us up in full sight of the whole world. Remember when Boris was criticised by the Chinese for his slobbiness at the Olympics? Oh the shame and irony of having the them criticising us on matters of dress (which we invented)! Even my socialist friend wears morning dress regularly and doesn’t bat and eyelid. Maybe the Prime Minister should grow a spine (or tails in this case) for once, swallow his pride and dress like any English gentleman (regardless of class or earnings) in the United Kingdom has done when attending a formal wedding for as far as I can remember.
Yours … &c

I also sent him a hand written letter the next day (contents similar to the above but in a more polite and formal tone as is appropriate). Then today, he changed his mind and now will wear morning dress to the Royal Wedding. I think this is what the vulgarians call a ‘result’.
Another thing he could have worn is Full Civil Uniform 1st Class, him being entitled to it being a Privy Councillor. However, this is for state occasions but I suppose this wedding is sort of ‘semi-state’. Anyways, it would be extremely impressive if he did.
